Once you’re in the zone, you want to stay productive. FMChat lets you collaborate with your other FileMaker users right in FileMaker Pro, sending attachments, images, and links to the records you’re working on. It’s better than being in the room.

FMChat is private and searchable, built specifically for FileMaker networks. You can even run scripts in your solution from within chats–approving orders, accepting invitations, or closing trouble tickets, for example. FMChat is completely unlocked and scriptable so you can change both the way it works and the way it looks.

Requirements - FileMaker 12-19

Chat participants must be on your FileMaker network (they must be able to "see" your FM Server or Host) and must be using FileMaker 12 or the latest version of FileMaker Go. FMChat works on Mac and Windows.

FMChat requires no plugins and does not require FileMaker Server. It works in Pro and Go but does not work in instant web publishing or WebDirect. Some features, like clickable links in the chat, do not work when the file is open single user: it must be opened from a host or server.

Getting Started & Docs

You don’t need to modify FM Chat to get started with it; simply host FMChat on your FileMaker Server or Host and let your uses sign in and create their profiles. Preview the online documentation for FMChat.
