Is there any solution for creating a dynamic value list using a key as the first field and a descriptive field as the second field without connecting the value list directly to a key field on the layout. I want to be able to not display the key field to the user on the layout. The field that the value list is connected to should be the descriptive field, and when a value list selection has been made the key should be inserted without the user seeing it.

If I'm following you correctly you can assign a value list to the key field but format it as a pop-up menu (not a list) and use the "Only show second value" option in the FM8 value list setup.
