My PC users are having problems. They are creating a pdf from Excel. When they try to insert the pdf into a container field, they receive the following:

The file type could not be displayed as a picture. It will be inserted and displayed as a file.

The Mac users have no issues inserting the pdf.

I have tried FM 8.5 and 9 using both Acrobat Professional 6 and 8.

Suggestions.

Macs and PCs render pdfs differently inside container fields and I don't believe you can insert a picture for pdfs on a PC. Try insert file instead.

That did not work either.

I was successful going

Insert>Object>Create from File>Browse> (Find file) then click Open.
