Test Version-Dialog Field and Apple Mail Question!

I am testing Filemaker Pro 7 on Mac and want to buy it next week. But before I do this I have 2 questions and I hope you can help me and answer:

1.: I wrote a an Apple script to start automatically Filemaker, start my datafile and find a contact in my database. When I do this Apple Script, filemaker starts and first of all there comes the message: "Test". THEN I HAVE TO CLICK "ok". That¥s ok, but when I do this, Filemaker does not start my database, but there comes a Dialog Window that I have to select the datafile I want to open. My question is: Is this only in the Testversion or is it the same in the full Version and is there a possibility that filemaker starts my datafile directly without the Dialog "Select your Datafile", when I doubleclick it on the Desktop?

2.: When I send Email from filemaker to Apple Mail, I do not see the name and the adress of the Receiver, but I see this
in the adressfield in Apple Mail: "<". Is there a Possibility to show the adress in the adressfield in Apple Mail?

Thank you for your help!

Hello presseeurope,
Your questions might perhaps be better placed in a different forum, as they don't have anything to do with custom functions... :o However I will answer them as briefly as I'm able.

By 'test dialog' I assume you're referring to the dialog which says 'This trial version of FileMaker Pro will expire in NN days...' etc.? If so, then the answer is that no, this dialog will not appear in the full version and yes, you should see your file open directly into the program (after the display of the standard splash screen, but without requiring any user action or confirmation).

As regards sending mail via Apple Mail, I suspect that the reason you are seeing "<" in the address field may relate to the format or content of the data you are using within the script in FileMaker. I suggest that you try specifying a field or a text literal which contains the raw email address and nothing else (no carriage returns, no chevron brackets etc).

Thank you Ray.
So I am glad that my Datafile will open in the full version when I doubleclick it on the desktop.
But there is also the problem with sending Email. Now I formatted the cell with text and wrote in only an Email adress. Also I took a button with a script "send Email". When I click on the button, Apple Mail starts, new Email Dialog Field is created but I see only this: "<" in the adressfield and not the name. When I doubleclick the "<" the it opens a pop up menu with following points: 1. the Email adress, 2. delete adresss, 3. copy adress to the clipboard, 4. copy adress to adressbook.
When i now doubleclick the Email adress everything is ok and I see the Email adress in the adressfield in Apple Mail. When I begin to write text, the email adress disappears and I see this: "<" again. Terrible!!!
Just I recognized an other Symptom: Some contacts that I want to send an Email, I see double in the Apple Mail adress Field. For example I click in Filemaker "send Email" the email adress is: [email protected]. In Apple Mail adress field it looks like this: <[email protected]> <[email protected]>. I have no idea what there is to do.
