I'm getting the dreaded "Filemaker cannot share files because another user is already sharing files using Filemaker Pro on this computer".

I've found several threads dealing with this but no solutions work yet.

The error only comes up with Seedcode , not other fm files.

Any ideas?

(I'm running 2 machines with Vista home, FM9pro, one machine gives the error the other doesn't, I can't see any files via Open Remote File dialog going either way on either machine, they can ping each other and log in to each other....)

I would guess that you have another app (perhaps FileMaker Server) on one machine, that is using the ports reserved for FileMaker traffic. But this is a FileMaker installation issue and, I'm afraid, not something I can help you with.

I got it working. Had to phone Filemaker support to get a .pem file that was corrupt on my system.
