Sharing Filemaker Files between versions

I have developed a data base file in Filemaker 7 that I want to send to a friend who uses and older version of Filemaker. Will my friend be able to open my file using his older version of Filemaker? Is there any way I can accomplish this? Help!

Your friend would need FM7. Of course, they can always download a trial here:
https://www.filemaker.com/downloads/trial_download.html
That may be the simplest thing. Or, if you have FileMaker Developer, you could make a runtime for them
