I am trying to create a script which would create a report listing the names of all files currently strored on a harddrive. If anyone has any info on this, PLEASE HELP...

I'd suggest you start by looking at the Troi File Plugin. Very good (!) for this kind of thing.

Though a little off topic, if you're on a Mac, try dragging a copy of your directory/drive to OmniGraffle Professional. Cool? Useful?
