More questions on popup lists. I know the list comes from the index and that using a portal might be the better way to go but... is there any controls for setting the width of the popup or the number of lines?

I don't think you have much control of either.

You *could* use the ScriptIt plugin to get more control over all kinds of pop-up lists and menus. Adds a bit of overhead, but it can be worth it. We have a couple solutions that use it for the navigation hierarchy; very slick plugin.

However even this will get its length and width largely from the contents of the list so I guess you'd just be trading limitations.
