Good Morning,
I am using an older version of SeedCode Complete (from 2009 I think). I am having difficulty with the tab editor. I made some changes to the layout menus the other day and now one of my top level tabs is missing; I don't know if this is related or not. The tab is for a "Properties" table that I added to the database a couple of years ago. When looking at my top level tabs, Properties is in the #2 position and the correct file is selected as is the correct layout, but the tab is nowhere to be seen at the top of the page.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Shelley

Hi Shelley,
Is there a blank tab where it should be? and is it working ok, just doesn't have a name? Can you send me / post a screen shot of the page with the missing tab as well as you're tab editor page with the offending one selected? Thanks, Jason |

Hi Jason,
There is not a blank tab where the Properties tab should be. I've attached the Admin screen with the tab editor page selected and the Properties info selected. You can see there is no tab for Properties at the top of the page. That tab is in 2nd place and should therefore be my second tab on every page in the database, correct? Thanks for the help! Shelley

Jason,
Thanks for the movie. I did exactly what you did and it still didn't work. I then decided to pick a different layout and my Properties tab showed up! For some reason the tab editor doesn't see my Properties layout. This layout is still intact and we are using it. I did make some changes to the layout menus the other day, I moved my Properties layout up so it displays under Contacts and I added a blank menu PROPERTIES as a divider. I do have the Properties layout selected to show in layout menus. When I am in the tab editor and I click to choose the "go to layout", the menu shows PROPERTIES (the divider) not Properties the layout I need. I hope this makes sense to you! Any ideas? Thanks again, Shelley |
Right, so we're using GoToLayout by name, so if you have two layouts named Properties, even one that's a divider, then the script is getting confused. You may want to change the layout name for Properties to something like "Property Detail" or "Property List" and then specify those names in the tab settings.

That did the trick!
Thanks Jason, have a great afternoon. Shelley |
