In the filter layout (FM11 DEMO), there is mention of filtering by "title" as well as "project" and "status".

What does this filter apply to? There's no mention in the event editing layout of "title", but the filter does seem to filter on any text in the "summary."

So the filter could be for any text in any field? Correct?

Correct, we're using title and summary interchangeably here. Filters can be applied to any field type, not just text. In FM11, they're doing FileMaker finds in the background and in FM12 they're using ExecuteSQL. We've got some documentation on this, including setting up your own here:
