iCal subscription question

Hi all, I'm running Seedcode Calendar pro, I
'm playing with the iCal subscription kit and after modifying it to work with Calendar Pro everything works as expected.
I have one problem:
My Appointment Description field is a calculation that copies the value of a field in a related table in a different Filemaker file.
The calculation obviously cannot be stored.
When iCal makes the call to the style sheet everything works fine, but the Description value is empty.
Anyone can suggest a workaround?
Thanks!
federico

Hi there,

I don't believe the problem is that the field can't be stored, but rather that this other file is not available for xslt and xml publishing. Make sure that “Access via XML Web Publishingâ€

Basically I have the calendar file cal.fp7 and my solution sol.fp7
The style sheet accesses fields on the file cal.fp7, one of those fields though is a calculation that copies a value from a field on sol.fp7
When I enter the URL in iCal iCal asks for a user name and password, I enter the user name and password for cal.fp7 (it's the same also for sol.fp7 BTW).
Both files have all the privileges enabled for all users.
In my vcal layout on cal.fp7 the calculation displays it's value correctly.
For kicks I created a third file, related to cal.fp7 and also with the 3rd file I have the same problem..
I think I'm missing something, it's driving me nuts!

The extended privileges mentioned in the post above are not enabled by default: are you sure they are on for your second and third file?

FIGURED IT OUT!
Has to do with the way External Sources are setup:
Before the related file was entered in the External Source as:
fmnet://hostipaddress/file_name
and it didn't work
now I changed it to
file:file_name
and it works...
