I'm using SC Complete to mange my cases and would like to know if there is a way to hide a contact name after the project is closed.

So you can mark Projects as "Active" or not, but we don't have anything like that in place for contacts. If you need something like that for contacts, you can add a new field for this to the contact's table. The take a look at the relationships used on our project selector to see how we restrict the list of available projects to just those that are active.
