IWP / iPhone / Android functionality

I recently purchased CalendarComplete, and have been messing around with it to see if if will work for what I am trying to do. So far so good, and the forums are very helpful, I think my project is similar to Jim Recht's. I've been looking at the IWP demo on my computer and Motorola Droid.

1) Anyway, my business is a service company so I need users to be able to view their schedules remotely, preferably through the IWP (laptop) - is there any provision in your module for viewing week or monthly views?

2) Can the iPhone layouts be resized and used on the droid phone with reasonable functionality? I loved my IPhone but finally got rid of it and got a phone that actually has a working network (verizon). Anybody out there using IWP on a droid?

Hi,

Our older IWP calendar included full week and month views but we found it too slow for real life. You can find it here, along with a live demo...

...with a bit or work you could point this at our newer calendars like Complete.

As for Droid, I don't know but I suspect the iPhone layouts would look OK of resized. Can't speak for the kind of click-for-map things we're doing on the iPhone layouts. If the droid phones use URL intercept the same way that stuff might work also. Just don't have one so I can't say. Would be interested to know what you find though.

Hope that helps,

John

Hey, I just bought the IWP for Complete, and I'm wondering how to link contacts to activities on iPhone? I would then use the same method to link contacts to bookings and bookings to activities.

I would also like to know how to implement a search by contact name.

Thanks.

You can link to contacts etc by adding the appointments contact ID field to the layout and formatting it as a drop down list. Use a value list of all contacts, using the contact ID as the first field and the contact name as the second: show only the contact name and this looks surprisingly good in IWP on the iphone.

As for the size it is showing up in, are people using the iPhone login? Any account that ends in iPhone gets routed to the iPhone layouts which size correctly. The default account for this is Admin iPhone.

Hope that helps,

John
