Can the calendar be put on hidden tabs rather than layouts. I want to put the small calendar on a layout and I think it will be better on a tabs.

Not sure what you mean Oreste, the calendar views like Day, Week, etc. are already their own tabs, not layouts. If you're asking about putting the small calendar on a tab of the large calendar layout, I don't think that works as you want the screen to "snap" to the biggest element on the layout.
