Perhaps it's not supposed to, but I would like to see the summary for an event in the day view, rather than just the appointment.

Is there something I've done wrong? Everything else seems to work (other than the colours, but I'm sure that's just me), but then, I'm not taxing the calendars capabilities that much (set an appt, go to the appt, set an appt, go to the appt, repeat ad infinitum)

The field you map to "Summary" on your Source No 1 layout IS what shows up on the day view (and all other views). Can you post some more details and tell us which version of the calendar you're using?
