What if you need to search the contents of a document (or a bunch of documents) in addition to searching FileMaker fields?
No problem.
Using Textractor
The Textractor plugin from 360Works retrieves the natural text of all sorts of documents including PDF and DOC. Once that natural text is in FileMaker you can search it and have FileMaker retrieve the document from which the text came. You may consider using another product of theirs, SuperContainer, to retrieve the document.
The two work well together.
