Oreste Schiavone has put together a nice implementation of fmSearchResults where he has added the results display on to his layout beside where he creates new contacts-- then he runs the search routine each time he completes a field, so after entering first name, last name, company name, etc. you see a list of all the contacts who *may* match that name and be duplicates.

Since fmSearchResults already does the "Robert" / "Bob" iterative search for you, this is pretty slick.
