Hi,

We've some problems since version 1.305 is installed on our server, OS X 10.6.8, FileMaker Server 11.0v4 Advanced. Everything works fine (Thanks for iOS 5 compatibility!) except:
- every german umlaut is immediately transformed into a space
- extremly growing (Catalina-) logs, about 1GB/day!

There are thousands of errors like

I've set up a test environment, fresh install of Lion 10.7.2, FileMaker Server 11.0v4, Zulu 1.305, run the Publish script etc. - same issue there...

Log file is attached, generated with the test environment as follows:
- deleted every record in FileMaker
- synced with iCal
- cleaned log
- opened iCal, created one appointment, closed iCal

Hi Thomas,

The issue with the umlauts has to with Lion having trouble accepting them. We've released a new version 1.306 to try and deal with this a bit more gracefully. We've got some documentation added to out site on this here:

I would try with 1.306 and see if that resolves the parsing issue as well.

Thanks for the tip, Jason. Tried to install version 1.306, failed with error "1: Unable to access jarfile installer.jar" - the file located in folder "Installer data" called "Zulu Installer.jar", have renamed it to installer.jar and - success! But localhost/zulu stills report version 1.305!

As i wrote in my first post, the errors and problems with the german umlauts is not only to Lion, same behavior on SLS. As I generated the log, I created only one event in iCal with subject "abc" - IMHO the reason about the errors aren't the umlauts, this problem is only a consequence of it...

We're looking into the log size issue, but wanted you to know that we have a new build of Zulu (1.307) which includes additional character substitutions. Hope it helps:
