If I drag an event from being all-day onto the calendar, even when I set an end time or duration it doesn't show in the bold part of the event display, making it not so lovely

Hi John. I haven't been able to reproduce the problem you describe. Can you send more details (which view you're on, what computer/OS you have, which version of FileMaker, etc.)?

Jeff

FMP 14 on OSX10.9.5 and 10.10.4

Drag an event from the all day onto the resource scheduler
It sets the default duration to 10 mins, and doesn't show the end time

Stretch the bottom out, and the end time shows.
Enter a 10 minute duration again, and then end time stops showing

thanks

Very strange. I can't reproduce that. You say it's happening on more than one computer? Feel free to make a screen cast movie to show this happening. Maybe there's something I'm doing differently.

Hi John. Thanks for making the video. My apologies, I didn't understand what you were saying before. On the Dayback "Schedule" views, when the event's duration is equal to or less than the specified Time Scale interval (e.g., 15 min.), The end time will not appear. This is intended behavior, to conserve space since there is only one line of text to work with. I hope that's not a showstopper for you.

this goes to my other point about want to zoom in and out of the timescale more simply than currently allowed..
it doesn't matter if you can easily zoom in and then out again, but it is the inconsistency of the display that feels a little awkward.

You are margin a decision to not show the end time, but show the start of the next thing, but then you are also trimming that and showing it in bold. If it were start time in bold then title normal it would go a long way to helping here.

thanks for the responses though..

I just talked to Tanner about this and it's not something that can be changed in the current version of DayBack.
