Any idea why I can copy/paste data from the event title/description on the Mac but not on Windows?

I can click in the field on Windows, but can't select or copy the text. Is there something I can change to allow that to happen?

Hi, jmundok.

I've just tested in FileMaker 18 and 19 on Windows, and am able to copy values and paste inside or outside of FileMaker.

Are you connecting directly to the Windows machine, or through a remote desktop or remote terminal app?

Which version of FileMaker and Windows are installed on the machine?

Thanks,

KC

Hi KC,

Interesting. My client first told me that they couldn't select those values to copy them so I opened up the system on Windows 10 (in Parallels) using FileMaker 18 and I couldn't either. I can expand the event title and I can click into the field, but I can't select any words or copy anything. Works fine on my Mac using FileMaker 18.

It's a calculated field, not sure if that would matter.

Hi jmundok,

The type of field in FileMaker won't have an effect on the ability to copy in the popover. The web viewer sees that field the same either way.

The first thing to check would be to see if it's an issue with the file somehow, or with the machine. I'd be happy to test that out on my end if you can send over a copy of the files, or provide access for me to test from my machine, which we know works to copy values from the popover.

Feel free to reach out directly to [email protected] and we'll dive in further.

Sincerely,

KC
