Is there a way in DayBack to show 'unassigned' events? A customer wants to use their calendar for scheduling Jobs...
Apologies if this has already been answered.

Good question. DayBack can show events that don't yet have a resource assigned: these show up in the "none' column on the scheduling screens. But there is no way to show an event that doesn't yet have a date in a stock copy of DayBack.
You can, however, modify the date calcs in DayBack for FileMaker to place a dateless event on the calendar: as an all-day event for the current date, for example. Once a dateless event is showing, dragging it to a new date/time will give it a real date =) Here's a movie of what I mean: https://vimeo.com/277998113 Hope that helps! Here are the modified calcs referenced in that movie: DBk_TimestampStartCalcNum:
DBk_TimestampEndCalcNum:
And the beginning of the DBk_WebViewerSource field:

Hi John
That's great, thanks! We'll implement that and will no doubt be back if we have other issues.... Matt |
