I have two fields. I am needing the second field to populate a particular option depending on the option I choose in field one. Can anyone help?

Example:

Field One:
Lease
Rental
Purchase

Field Two:
1 Year
2 Years
4 years

Problem: I need a calculation, function, or script to populate a particular option or value list in Field Two depending on the option chosen in Field one. Therefore, if I choose Lease in Field One then Field Two automatically populates to 1 year. And if I choose Rent in field One then 2 years automatically populates in field two. Can anyone help?

This is FileMaker 5/6 right? Serach FileMaker's built in help for "Auto Enter" then read the entry called "Defining automatic data entry". The section "Enter the result of a calculation" will be what you're interested in.
