I have been using iCal for a few years and now want to start using CC Calendar. Therefore I want to transfer my iCal data into CC Calendar. Is there a way of doing this?

SeedCode Calendar offers the ability to import iCal files. You can try this out in the 10 day demo (you'll find the import button on the "import" section of the About tab). You'll want to export your ical data first, exporting perhaps a month or two for testing since the import takes a long time.

Note that you can keep using iCal if you wish to view the appointments in your FileMaker calendar; check out our Subscribe to FileMaker from iCal example.
