Hello I downloaded cc cal free. I am trying to open calendar and it crashes fmp 7 developer upon opening. Do you know why?

Hi Don,

I have not had any of our users report this before. I just downloaded a fresh copy and opened it fine. A couple things to check:

Be sure you're using the FileMaker Developer 7v2 updater.

The Calendar is set up for sharing so if you have networking off you should get an error (though not a crash). You might want to turn networking on and see what happens.

I'd also suggest turning Instant Web Publishing off. Again, while this shouldn't cause a crash, it is something to try.

If you're on OSX I'd try the traditional technique of creating a new account to see if that account (with fresh preferences, etc.) crashes.

=) Serious, I have no idea how to read one of these. Are you able to open the calendar in a regular copy of FileMaker 7? What about opening it under a new user's account?
