I have recently downloaded the "free" version, but i cannot do anything with it, it is completely locked. Cannot add event, have access to scripts or to modifying layouts.
Am I missing domething ?

I imagine that if you can't get in it is because you're trying to open the calendar within the still zipped archive you downloaded. Try quitting FileMaker and then right-clicking on the .zip and selecting "Extract All". Then be sure you're working with the extracted files.
