I was trying to sync my calendar with around 3000 events with Google for the first time.
The sync started, but then stopped with errors. Each time I tried it again, it come up with a different error message. The Google calendar showed some events, but not all.
The error messages related to various specific events.

ie:
Wed Jul 13 12:06:04 WST 2011:Sync failed: java.io.IOException:
Unable to perform edit operations:
Write{record=SyncObject{nodeID='Ev0003963',
etag='"1310370735000"',data=VEventWrapper{event=Online
Site Inspection}}} into node:
GoogleEventNode:[email protected]
(calendarName=AustralisSolarCalendar), java.io.IOException:
Could not insert event to Google:
com.google.gdata.util.ParseException: Unrecognized content
type:text/html

After multiple retries with manual sync and always getting another error, I finally just changed the settings to Auto Sync and when I looked back into Google an hour later I had suddenly all events there.

So, I just thought I mention this for other new users.

Hi Regine,

It does look like it was having issues with specific events, i.e. Ev0003963. Google can be a little touchy with certain things like start date after the end date, etc. so you may want to check that event to make sure it came over correctly. In general the auto-syncing error capture is lighter than the manual sync...but it is curious. Keep up posted please!
