Hi,
I am using an older version of SeedCode Complete (purchased in 2008). I recently upgraded my FileMaker to version 12. I seem to recall the need to change something in the opening script when I upgraded to FM 11. Do I need to do this again?
I have an issue with the Edit Appointment Mini Window. Every time I open it via the Activity tab in Contacts (clicking on New Item) the window opens up with the Basic Data Entry tab on top. I have this tab set up to open with the Appointment Info tab on top. This worked just fine in FM 11 but now in FM 12 I get the Basic Data Entry tab. I cannot see why this is happening...any advice?
Thanks,
Shelley

Hi Shelley,
There's nothing you need to change in the Upon Opening script after converting to FM 12. I want to try to reproduce that tab error you're reporting so I can help you figure it out. But I'm not seeing the "Activity", "Basic Data Entry" and "Appointment Info" tabs you mention. Can you send me some screen shots? Jeff |

Hi Shelley,
I'm thinking those tabs you mentioned must be custom changes you've made in your file (sorry, I'm the new guy around here). I'm sure I can help you figure it out if you send me your files. You can use this free service to send me your files: http://www.sendbigfiles.com Please be sure to include the full-access account name and password. Jeff |

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I attached 3 images for you. They actually are not custom changes, they're just old! Thanks for the help. Shelley

Hi Shelley,
I see a list of .tiff file names, but no actual images. Do you mind sending them again? Jeff |

Hi Jeff,
I attached the images again. Let's hope it works. Thanks, Shelley

Hi Shelley,
Sorry about the screen shot problem... turns out it was just my browser (FireFox) that doesn't show them properly for some reason. They show up fine in Safari. My guess about your default tab problem is that something in the script that opens that "Edit Appointment" window is taking you to either a field ("title"?) or some other named object on that "Appointment Info" tab. I would step through the script and see if that's the problem. If you have a copy of FileMaker Advanced, you could do this very easily using the Script Debugger. I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. Jeff |
