When you make a share you'll be creating a URL that contains exactly what you currently see on screen in DayBack. DayBack now offers in-app updates, so DayBack users don't need to upgrade. The upgardes here are for folks who've purchased the old SeedCode Calendar. Purchases after January of 2012 can upgrade to DayBack at a discount: you'll be asked for your original order's email address at the end of the checkout process. For other upgrade options, including upgrading from one user level to another, please get in touch so we can prorate your plan.
DayBack is faster and all-around much simpler to integrate, so in general, “YES” you’ll want to upgrade But there are a few things that may make the SeedCode Calendar you already have a better choice, at least for the short term…
-- The new calendar requires 13.0v3 or higher so if you’re on an older version I’d stick with the older calendar.
-- If you're using Web Direct, DayBack Calendar doesn't work there: the companion app DayBack Online does. So you'd need to see if the Web Direct access is worth the additional DayBack Online licenses.
If you’ve purchased DayBack Calendar on a monthly or yearly subscription, you can download in-app updates for the life of your subscription. But if you purchased DayBack outright, your free updates end after the first year.

Users are counted by unique devices: a person who connects on a laptop and a desktop, for example, would be seen as two users. Users are only counted when they visit the calendar layout, so the number of DayBack users you need may be less than the number of FileMaker users you have. Note that this counts real users, not simultaneous users. Learn how to manage users here.
DayBack used to reqyurea separate plan and setp for WebDirect. But now with the new DayBack for FileMaker 19, the same layout and setup works for FileMaker Pro and WebDirect. No separate plan required.

DayBack requires FileMaker Pro 13.0v3 or higher on Mac and Windows but is best in FileMaker 15-18 and is compatible with FM19. DayBack runs on FileMaker Desktop, Go, Cloud, and Server. Please note that DayBack will not work in runtimes.
