I have a solution with two different mobile files that needs to sync to the same hosted file.
To be able to distribute through GoZyncHosted, I realize I can only have one GoZyncMobile file that works with both mobile files.
Would it work to do it this way?
TOs:
gzh_Assets -> Assets (table on Hosted file)
gzm_Assets - > Assets (table on Mobile File 1)
gzh_Assets_2 -> Assets (table on hosted file)
gzm_Assets_2 -> Assets (table on Mobile File 2)
Layouts:
gzh_Assets
gzm_Assets
gzh_Assets_2
gzm_Assets_2
After adding all four TOs to the GTRR script, is there anything else I need to do?
PS! The two mobile files are already zyncing individually, so gz fields and scripts are working.

Hi,
That looks right to me. Once the references are all hooked up, FileMaker really doesn't care about what file they're from...except when it come to log-ins. Since both files are referenced by GZM it will need to open both, so if the files have different log-ins, the mobile user will get prompted for the log-in from the second file even if you're only trying to sync the first. Ideally, we prefer no log-ins on the mobile device: http://www.seedcode.com/pmwiki/index.ph ... 4.Security hth, Jason |
