I'm looking at GoZync for a large distributed app with hundreds or thousands of user accounts and trying to understand the recommended method for creating and using FM Accounts with GoZync. Do FMGO users log into the app with a unique FM account name? If so when and where is this created? I'm not understanding if the offline app needs to have any account level syncing with the mothership database. Can anyone explain?

Hi Jeff. We recommend that you have a unique FileMaker account in your hosted solution for each mobile user, and require that users authenticate when they sync. That means you can set up filtering rules in GoZyncMobile that use the "Get(AccountName)" function. We also recommend that you not require a login in the mobile file, because the more convenient the app is for the user, the more likely they are to use it. Instead, have them lock the device itself (the 4-digit passcode on iOS devices). You can read more about our security recommendations here:
