Hello:
A client of ours would like to have the ability to change the color of an appointment based on the status, not appointment type. Ideally, they'd love to right click to change the status color. For instance, the type might be office visit, but the color will change as the person arrives, is paid, cancelled, discharged, etc....
What's the best way to accomplish this?
TIA,
Laura

Unfortunatley, we don't have real right-click control without plugins. But the rest of what you've described is very easy. I'd recommend using our Types Table as your Statuse table and creating a simple value list for "types". (Edit the value list "Possible Types" to use custom values instead of related ones.)
Then, assuming you've created a status field in the CCCalAppts (appointments) table, look at the calendar graph for relationships between Appointments (green) and Types (brown). You can find one of these in the daily view section between AppointmentsDaily and ApptTypesDaily. Change the left hand side of this so that it uses your status field in teh appointment's record instead of ApptKeyTypeCalc. This will map your status color to the color of that status name in our Types table. The define a value list for statuses to use the contents of our types table and you're all set. Note that in addition to the relationship described above, you'll have 7 to edit in the Month & Week Views section. Thats it! John Sindelar
