I'm new to this list and searched for an answer to this topic before posting:

I'm having a problem recording sounds in FMP7. Whenever I double click on a container field, the program crashes. I'm a musician and had no problems doing this with FM6.

I'm using OSX 10.3.9 on a 12" Powerbook 867MHz.

Any help - or direction to a help source - would be appreciated.

Hi. I've heard of this but never experienced it as I don't do much with sounds files. I know some people use some specialized tools to augment FileMaker's built in abilities. I'm using SuperContainer instead of container fields in my custom work, but I don't know if that helps much with sound files.

All I can suggest apart from the above is the most general stuff: to make sure you're using the latest version of 7, and since FileMaker uses QuickTime for the sound work so I'd suggest making sure you have the latest version of QT (perhaps reinstalling it).
