Hi Jose,

Not sure if you really can create a sub project "within a milestone", but I may be misunderstanding your question.

There are three levels of items within CC Gantt Pro: Projects, Phases, and Milestones so that:

Each Project may have any number of Phases;
and each Phase may have any number of Milestones.

(Milestones are the items that are actually depicted as colored bars in the chart.)

Projects are recorded in the SampleProjects file, simply create new records there for each project. The list of possible phases is built out of those phases entered into milestones for a given project, so as you enter phase names into your milestones for project X, you are essentially building the list of possible phases for project X.

Hope that helps,

John

Yes, phases is what I am looking for. I just posted something regarding file versions. For some reason, even though I have converted all the files to version 7.0, they still keep asking for the files. I am not able to launch Sample projects.

HI, You have likely converted your files one-by-one instead of converting the whole folder at once. Converting the folder preserves the relationships between files.

Converting things like CC Gantt is not all that tough, but there are a few things you need to do in addition to reading FileMaker's conversion documents ( http://www.filemaker.com/upgrade/techbriefs.html )

We have a post devoted to Gantt Specific Issues here: http://www.seedcode.com/support/viewtopic.php?t=85

Best,

John

Can I modify the phases? The way I typically work is to establish a milestone, then create atcionable line items beneath that milestone. In this product, it seems the phases are actually the milestones, and the milestones act as the actinable items. I can show you a sample from another product if that helps to illustrate. Thanks.

Sure, you can modify phases, but changing a phase name does not change the phase of all the items associated with that phase.

From your description, I'd suggest you create a new project for each "milestone" then create Gantt Items as children of that project (these Gantt Items would be your actionable items).
