Is there a plugin for organizing pop-up menus?

I want to create hierarchal pop-up menus. Obviously the standard FM value list pop-up menus don't let you do this...

I'm sure I've seen this over the years, but can't remember where...

sorry, I should have been more clear. I don't want to trigger scripts, I simply want to fill a field. I want the typical pop-up menu for a field, but want the menu's list to pull up related data organized hierarchally. For example, a list of projects, going to the projects phases...ultimately selecting the ID as a key (while viewing the name).
