Need Urgent HELP!!

Please if anyone can answer me ill be grateful.... guys im trying to share a file between a mac and windows on filemkaer 8.5 advanced but each time i do it from ecah computer acting as a source it says host's capacity was exceeded!!!! any ideas??

I am not sure of the exact cause of your problem, but here are a few things to check. If you are working from the same copy of FileMaker on both machines, it will not work. FileMaker checks the local network to make sure no other copies are using the same license, so that could be the problem. It could be that if you are using server, the maximum guests allowed is set too low, you can change that with the server admin tool. Another cause could be that too many users are trying to connect, as the message implies, client will not server as many concurrent guests as server, and you may have exceeded it's limit. If none of those help, let me know the exact setup and message you are getting and I will try to help further. |
