Is there a way to put the calendar layout in the Events table. In other word the layout is assigned to the Events table rather then the Calendar interface table. I want to do this because when I add a new event I want to create the record in the table itself. I would of course have multiple calendar layouts for each table to create a new event if there are several tables.

Basically, no, the calendar has to be based on the calendar interface table. But you should be able to base it on any other table where the calendar interface table hangs off this other table like this:

Your Table ---< CalendarInterface ---< the rest of the calendar.

But even this will require modding a lot of scripts that are set to run from the context of CalendarInterface.
