I'd like to get Calendar Pro and customize it to use it on top of a touch screen POS filemaker application. Do you think that the current features in Calendar Pro are easy to customize for
touch screens ?
The Calendar Pro would be the appointment book driving appointments for 5-6 staff. Once an appointment is served, it is checked out at the invoicing application.
All functions must be touch-screen able .

or any good products already available out there that you know of....

Hi,

FileMaker, in general plays very nice with Touch screens. This is really evident in FileMaker Go on the iPad and iPhone. There are issues to be aware of:

The mouse pointer is much smaller than your finger, and is easier to click on a smaller object. Depending on the size of the screen you may need to increase the row height of the portals and their objects to make sure there is enough space to accurately select the correct day/hour.

There is no dynamic keyboard in a regular FileMaker / Touchscreen set up like on the iPad or iPhone, so a regular keyboard is needed for data entry, and the screen itself just replaces the mouse control.

Scrolling can be tricky, so having page up and page down buttons instead can be helpful on a touch screen. We don't have any scrolling by default on the calendar views and do provide the up/down buttons, so this is not so much an issue here.
