I was having trouble with the status portal not showing any names and I finally managed to fix this but now there are no colors showing in my events on the calendar.
Can someone please advise me as to how to fix this?

Hi Don,
You might check out the troubleshooting tips for colors here: http://www.seedcode.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php?n=SeedCodeCalendar12.EventColors Status names that include operators (comas, semicolons, etc.) can cause problems also. Learn how to clear that up here: http://www.seedcode.com/support/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3682 If this the FM11 version, check out this thread with the fix at the end: http://www.seedcode.com/support/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2871&hilit=colors Hope that helps, John John Sindelar

Thanks very much for the fast reply.
This color coding has been a real pain for me in 11 and now 12. I never did get it working in 11 but I have gotten closer with 12. The only thing different that I see from the original file and my file is a yellow dot where the colorcalc field is in the events table. I don't see that in my field. What is that and is that what is causing this problem. The color will not show in the events table or in the calendar. My status items are small - the longest is 13 letters and none have any operators in them. I do not know what the ical format is - I'm a windows user. This will pretty much finish my business database (probably some more tweaks here and there as I learn more about scripting) and would love to get this finishing touch workng. Sure hope you can point me in the right direction |

Hi Don,
I'm sure we can get this working for you. I'm on the road today but will send you an email about setting up a screen share so we can fix this for you. Best, John John Sindelar

Thank you very much - would really appreciate that.

There was a broken field reference in the Assign Color Coding script that runs at start-up. Corrected that and we're all set.
