Time Display
Do I Have to Schedule Appointments in 15 Minute Increments?
No you don’t.
You can create appointments with whatever times you like. The scheduling view only displays appointments in 15 minute increments, however, and will in effect round your appointment times to the nearest 15 minutes for display purposes.
CC Calendar SE ships with some sample data to give you a sense of how this rounding works. Use the calendar filters to select to “show” the resource type “standard” and a go to date of 4/22/2003. Then click on the Schedule tab (one of the vertical orientations works best for this). Here you’ll see a wide variety of appointments and how their various start and end times are displayed on the calendar. (Note that you don’t have to enter an end time for your appointments: with just a start time the calendar assumes you have a 15 minute appointment.)
Why Don't All My Appointments Show Up On the Scheduling Tab?
The scheduling screens only show appointments which are assigned to a resource and which have a start time. Appointments lacking these two attributes are still displayed on the Day, Week, and Month views but the scheduling views are only for those appointments scheduling a particular resource at a particular time.
Why Do Appointments Appear Not to Last As Long As They Should in the Blue Hours Column?
We have chosen to visually depict appointments “to” their end time, instead of “through” their end time. Here is a description of the issue: in the shipping version of CCCalendar Pro, an appointment from 9am to 10am will be depicted with 9am colored in blue, as well as with the slots for 9:15, 9:30, and 9:45 also colored blue. That is, the blue extends “up to’ 10am. The scheduling viewed display items the same way: the appointments will extend “up to” 10:00 am but not into it because the 10am time slot is not actually be spoken for: the appointment could be thought of “ending precisely at 10am.”
Note that this is different from the way the Pro Calendar displays times; there they are colored through their end time instead of “to” it.

Why Don't Any Hours Show Up in the Blue Column to the Left of the Daily View?
As can happen after making a clone of the calendar files, you may not have a default time set. Simply scroll the list of hours to fix this (click the minus sign at the top of the hours portal, or click the plus sign at the bottom of portal). This is set in the file’s startup routine as well, so opening and closing the file should fix it.
If that doesn’t fix it, then you have not specified a default start time in the Settings section of the About tab.
Finally you may not have specified a default color to be used in this display. Navigate to the About tab and click on “Settings” in the left side of the screen. There you’ll see a list of all the colors CC Calendar understands (feel free to add your own colors!); simply check the “default” box next to the color you’d like to use in your time display. (This display looks best when you use an opaque color as opposed to one that is partially transparent.)
How Can I Change the Earliest Appointment Time Visible On the Day and Week Views?
The default starting time can be changed on the “Settings” section of the About screen. In the right half of the screen, simply change the value in “Show Appointment Times Starting at.”
Note that you can also “scroll” the visible times. Show earlier times by clicking on the minus sign to the top left of the visible hours; later times may be shown by clicking on the plus sign to the lower left of the visible hours. You can scroll times like this on the Day, Week, and Scheduling screens.
The Hours Display Only Refreshes When Edits Are “Continued” (Day and Week Views).
The Daily view displays the hours for a given day in a vertical list, visually indicating which hours have appointments in them. This display does not refresh at the same time as the appointment list itself when editing appointments. Changes made in the editing window are immediately visible in the appointment list but are not visible in the “hours list” until the “continue” button is pressed in the editing window. This is just the way CC Calendar works.
For instance if there is an appointment from 9am until 2pm; I can edit that appointment to begin at 11am instead. The appointment list will show the new time right away, but the hours list will continue to show that appointment beginning at 9am until I press continue.
(Actually, the time will remain at 9am for a moment or so after continue is pressed, changing to 11am just before cursor control is returned to the user.)
The same is true for the blue dots on the Daily view’s mini calendar: these do not reflect appointment edits until the changes have been committed using the “continue” button.
