Can I Synch the Contacts and Calendar With My Palm or PDA?
Unfortunately, you can not synch Complete's contacts to the native contact managers on the Palm, Blackberry, iPhone, etc. You can however export your contacts from complete in the vCard format and import that into an ap that will move these to your device (like the Mac address book). In this way you can periodically refresh your mobile contacts with the list from FileMaker.
Note that SeedCode Complete will import your vCards as well.
Sync with Zulu
If you’re an iPhone user, another great option is to publish to your FileMaker calendar as an iCal using Zulu and FileMaker Server. Zulu grants you read-write access to your FileMaker events from within iCal on the desktop, iPhone, or iPad. Zulu also syncs your FileMaker events to Google Calendar. Learn more about Zulu. Future versions of Zulu will sync contacts as well.
SeedCode Complete works great with FileMaker Go for iPad
The layouts and scripts in SeedCode Complete are tuned to work with FileMaker Go for iPad. You don't need to load a copy of Complete on to your iPad: you can open Complete remotely from your FileMaker Server so you only have your data in one place.
This of course works much faster over WIFI than it does over 3G.
If you'd like to use SeedCode Complete on FileMaker Go for iPhone, you'll likely want to build smaller, single-purpose layouts optimized for the size of the iPhone's screen and, if necessary, for then slower cellular speeds you may get on your phone.
